Position
Community Engagement Officer – part time, based in London.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with communities connected to StandWithUs UK programmes, events, and educational initiatives.
- Manage engagement across multiple sub‑communities including alumni networks, student participants, supporters, educators, young professionals, and wider community stakeholders.
- Create community engagement strategies that keep members connected and involved throughout the year.
- Plan and execute regular community events including socials, networking evenings, educational gatherings, reunions, speaker events, and online engagement opportunities.
- Build consistent communication channels across WhatsApp groups, newsletters, email campaigns, social media, and other relevant platforms.
- Produce tailored monthly or weekly newsletters depending on each community’s needs and activity level.
- Maintain accurate community databases and ensure regular outreach across all age groups and programmes.
- Identify opportunities to activate community members for campaigns, advocacy initiatives, volunteering, fundraising support, educational projects, and organisational events.
- Work closely with programme teams to ensure participants remain connected following programme completion.
- Strengthen alumni engagement and create pathways for long‑term involvement within StandWithUs UK.
Ideal Candidate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Naturally outgoing with strong relationship‑building abilities.
- Strong understanding of community building and audience engagement.
- Experience in event planning, communications, marketing, community management, or youth engagement preferred.
- Comfortable managing multiple communities simultaneously.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident using CRM systems, email marketing tools, WhatsApp communities, and social media platforms.
- Self‑starter with initiative and creativity.
- Passion for Jewish community life, Israel education, and people‑centred work.
