The Role in 20 Seconds

This is a national sales role in one of the fastest-growing care technology businesses in the UK. The current team is so busy with the accounts they're winning that a stack of live opportunities is waiting for someone to own them. That someone could be you.

What You’ll Actually Do

The bread and butter:

  • Own a share of the UK national account portfolio. That means care groups, operators and investors, with you as lead contact at CEO, CFO, COO, Director of Nursing and Director of Care level.
  • Pick up active leads quickly, then hunt for new business into groups operating 20+ homes. These are strategic, multi-site conversations with 12-18 month cycles.
  • Run a disciplined pipeline. Keep the CRM honest, contribute to monthly reporting and feed into budget planning.
  • Represent the business at the major industry shows, where the right CEO conversations happen.

The less obvious bits:

  • Get a guarded, straight-laced CEO to drop the corporate wall and talk to you like a human being. This is the single most important skill in the job.
  • Think two steps ahead. Spot the next account, the next risk and the next opportunity before anyone asks you to.
  • Bring structure and calm to a fast-moving team. The current NAMs are brilliant in very different ways. One is a driven, numbers-led relationship builder; the other is a warm, care-sector natural. You’ll add strategic thinking and organisation to that mix.
  • Work as part of a tight-knit team. This isn’t a place for lone wolves.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A real, evidenced sales record: targets you personally owned and deals you personally closed. We'll want the numbers. Supporting a sale, demoing a product or training users is valuable, but it isn't the same thing.
  • Natural selling instinct. You were probably selling something long before anyone gave you a job title for it. The methodology can be taught; the instinct can't.
  • Comfort with complex, high-value, long-cycle sales into multiple senior stakeholders, rather than taking orders for low-ticket products.
  • Warmth, credibility and composure at board level, including with people who push back.
  • A clinical or care-minded way of thinking. You understand what happens on the floor of a care home or hospital ward, and why it matters to the people making decisions in the boardroom.
  • A career that shows success, not survival.

Nice to have:

  • A background in care homes, care groups, NHS or private hospitals, medical devices, diagnostics, health IT or adjacent clinical technology. The sector nuance can be learned; the sales instinct can't.
  • Experience mentoring others, or real ambition to grow into a leadership role.
  • A Midlands base. The patch is national and split by account, not territory, so you'll travel, but the middle of the country makes the logistics easier.

Hard NOs:

arrogance, coldness, and a CV of twelve-month stints with nothing to show for them.

What’s Actually In It For You

The practical:

  • A generous base, plus a £5,000 car allowance and a bonus that can easily take you into SIX FIGURES.
  • Fully remote with national travel, plus occasional international travel, including visits to the European headquarters.
  • A January start. If you're on a one-month notice period, the timing works well.

The intangible:

  • A genuine progression path. The business is actively looking for a future leader in the sales team.
  • Live leads to work from day one, in a market where the company is often the only one of its kind at the major shows.
  • That's not marketing copy.

The Honest Bit

This is a growing business, not a corporate machine. Processes are still being built, priorities shift, and you'll sometimes need to work things out without a playbook.

The client is picky, and rightly so. The process starts with a short "speed date" call, because personality fit is the first filter. If you look polished on paper but have never really had to sell, you'll find this process hard work.

It's probably not the right fit. If you thrive on autonomy, like bringing order to a busy pipeline and want to build rather than maintain, you'll probably love it here.

Some of the best people we've placed came from slightly unexpected routes.
