Are you passionate about helping adults gain digital skills and progress in their careers? We are seeking a motivated Adult Skills Tutor/Assessor to deliver engaging teaching and assessment for learners studying Level 3 Certificates in Cyber Security and Diplomas in Networking and Cyber Security. You will provide personalised support, meaningful feedback, and high-quality assessment while contributing to curriculum development and supporting learner wellbeing in line with safeguarding policies. What you’ll do:
- Conduct effective initial assessments to identify learner starting points and design Individual Learning Plans
- Deliver accredited qualifications in accordance with awarding body and Standguide policies
- Personalise teaching to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring sessions are engaging, inclusive, and challenging
- Provide effective verbal and written feedback to support learner progress
- Assess and monitor learner achievement, intervening as necessary to help all learners reach their potential
- Prepare learners for summative assessments, including controlled assessments, external tests, and portfolio submissions
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and industry expertise to meet evolving qualifications and curriculum requirements
- Contribute to quality assurance and curriculum development, sharing best practice and supporting continuous improvement
- Support learner wellbeing, attendance, and punctuality, and liaise with colleagues to meet learners IAG and employability needs.
What you’ll need:
- Teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE)
- Competence and industry experience in digital skills, with assessor qualification Level 4 Digital Sector: must hold a qualification at least one level higher
- Experience delivering Level 3 Cyber Security and Networking qualifications
- Experience in personalised teaching for learners facing diverse barriers
- Knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent, and adult education best practices
- Ability to engage and motivate learners
- Competence in administrative systems to manage the learner journey
- Clean driving licence and full-time access to a car (role involves travel).
- Overseas equivalent qualifications are accepted.
