Youll provide leadership to Managers and their teams, ensuring that services are delivered consistently, contractual requirements are met and performance, quality and financial objectives are achieved.

This is a varied senior operational role where youll combine people leadership, performance management, data analysis, quality improvement, commercial awareness and stakeholder management to help our services and people perform at their best.

What youll doAs a Regional Manager, youll: Lead the operational performance of contracts, Managers and teams across your regionEnsure agreed performance, quality, service-delivery and financial targets are achievedAnalyse Management Information, performance data and KPIs to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvementDevelop and implement effective action plans and Performance Improvement Plans where requiredLead, support and hold Managers accountable for performance, development and deliveryMonitor the quality of appraisals, reviews and performance-management activityWork closely with Human Resources to support appropriate staffing, employee relations, attendance and performanceDrive continuous improvement and maintain consistently high standards of customer serviceEnsure Quality Assurance systems, contractual requirements and relevant standards are understood and followedOversee the quality and timeliness of Management Information, statistical returns, claims, reconciliation and audit activityManage operational resources effectively and work within agreed budgetsMaintain effective relationships with Prime Contractors, commissioners, partners and external agenciesEnsure safe and inclusive working environments and compliance with safeguarding, health and safety and equality requirementsIdentify and share good practice across teams and the wider organisationSupport business development, service improvement, bid-writing and new opportunities where appropriateRepresent Standguide positively with external partners and stakeholdersWhat youll needWere looking for someone who can demonstrate: Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum, or equivalentEducation to degree level or equivalent relevant management and operational experienceSignificant operational-management experience within a performance and target-driven environmentExperience of managing Managers and providing leadership across teams, services, contracts or multiple operational locationsA strong track record of achieving performance, quality and service-delivery targetsExperience of analysing performance data and KPIs and turning findings into effective actionExperience of managing employee performance, including development, appraisals, reviews and underperformanceExperience of managing resources and working within agreed budgetsExperience of working within contractual, quality-assurance, governance or compliance requirementsStrong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsThe ability to influence, challenge constructively and hold others accountable for agreed outcomesStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesGood commercial awareness and an understanding of the relationship between performance, quality, resources and profitabilityStrong stakeholder-management and relationship-building skillsGood IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, reporting systems and other business technologyThe ability and flexibility to travel regularly across the region and between Standguide locations as requiredExperience within employability, skills, welfare-to-work or another commissioned public-service environment would be an advantage, particularly if youve worked with externally funded contracts, Prime Contractors, Ofsted, Matrix, Fidelity or comparable quality frameworks.

Experience of multi-site operations, business development, operational change or continuous-improvement activity would also be beneficial.

Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
