Role:Adult Skills Tutor/Assessor (Digital Skills)

Salary:Up to £28,000 per annum based on qualifications and experience

Contract type:Sessional Work Agreement

Working hours:Variable hours, up to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week

Location:Manchester (M1 3HY)

Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to support learners on their journey into the world of IT? Were looking for a motivated tutor to deliver engaging and effective sessions to learners studying Level 3 Diplomas in Networking, Cyber, and Systems Infrastructure. Youll play a key role in helping learners reach their goals by providing personalised support, meaningful feedback, and high-quality assessment. This role also involves contributing to curriculum development, maintaining rigorous standards, and supporting learner wellbeing in line with safeguarding policies.

What youll do

• Conduct effective initial assessment for referred learners, identifying accurate starting points, and designing appropriate Individual Learning Plans
• Deliver accredited qualifications and wider learning in accordance with awarding body and Standguide policies and procedures
• Provide effective verbal and written feedback on learning so that learners make good progress and achieve qualification and wider learning objectives
• Assess and monitor learner progress in line with company policies and procedures, intervening where necessary to ensure that all learners achieve their full potential
• Prepare learners for summative assessment, including controlled assessment, external test and portfolio submission
• Maintain up to date subject knowledge and industry expertise and meet changing needs of qualifications and curriculum.

What youll need

• Appropriate teaching qualification e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE
• Vocational tutors: competence and industry experience in relevant sector; and assessor qualification
• Level 4 Digital Sector must have subject qualification at least one level higher
• Experience of effective personalised teaching and learning for learners experiencing diverse barriers
• Experience of successful delivery of accredited qualifications
• Ability to engage and motivate learners
• Ability to use administrative systems and procedures to manage the learner journey
• Clean driving licence and full-time access to car as this role requires travel.

Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
