The role will be to provide administrative support to the production team, helping to ensure that work orders, materials, records and communications are coordinated effectively. The role acts as a key link between production, purchasing, stores and other departments.
Key responsibilities Prepare, issue and maintain production paperwork, work orders, and related records.
Assist with the coordination and preparation of manufacturing production.
Monitor order progress and highlight shortages, delays or other risks to the relevant manager.
Coordinate information between production, purchasing, stores, and sales.
Support material availability checks and follow up outstanding purchase or stock requirements.
Progress purchased and manufactured items by liaising with suppliers and factory supervisors to support timely delivery. Follow company health and safety, quality, environmental and data-protection procedures.
Assist Purchasing with raising purchase orders from quotes and set lists.
Skills and experience Ideally previous experience in administration, within manufacturing, engineering, logistics or similar operational environment.
Have strong administration and communication skills
Be conscientious and hardworking Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook; experience with ERP or MRP systems is desirable.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
