Job Title: Technician (Propellers)
Department: Operations
Location: Almondbank, Perth
We are seeking a Technician to join the Propellers department. The Technician will report to the Propellers Production Manager and will be responsible for maintaining aircraft components allocated to the relevant platform/programme.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out strips, cleaning, inspections, builds, and tests of hydraulic components effectively and efficiently, in accordance with trade qualifications and authorisation, using current approved procedures as laid down in relevant documentation.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Ensure the health and safety of all department associates by adhering to safety instructions, completing risk assessments, and ensuring machinery, tools, PPE, and display screen equipment are safe and used correctly. Promote safe working practices and review safety measures regularly.
- Perform work to the highest level of competence.
- Contribute to the teamβs achievement of targets and goals.
- Follow Tool Control Procedures according to relevant ABM procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of quality and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Participate in training and support team members to develop skills, including mentoring apprentices when needed.
- Be flexible to undertake additional duties within the team to support overall output.
- Work within and promote behavioural competencies.
- Keep the work area clean and free of debris.
- Support continuation training and ensure training packs are read and signed.
- Adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and all related business manuals.
