Job Description
- Responsible for carrying out all guarding duties to a high standard, and in accordance with the Fleetlands Business Manual procedures;
- Maintain familiarity with the relevant procedures of the Fleetlands Business Manual and refer any anomalies or required amendments to line management;
- Comply with all Health & Safety legislation relating to the role and be proactive in reporting safety hazards and accidents in accordance with current instructions;
- Carry out vehicle searches;
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to, and egress from, the site;
- Maintain data and write reports on breaches of security or defects and forward them to the Line Manager;
- Operate and monitor security systems, CCTV and alarms;
- Respond to emergencies in line with local emergency procedures;
- Prevention of fire, liaise with emergency services in an emergency, and cooperate with other security providers;
- Safeguard classified information and materials;
- Operate and communicate effectively;
- Assist in maintaining site safety with de‑icing and snow clearance activities;
- Monitor flood/spill high‑risk areas and provide initial response;
- Issue and receive keys;
- Record information on computerised and manual systems;
- Lock up/open up all buildings and carry out internal patrols;
- Aid the business by taking receipt of parcels/packages from couriers after business hours;
- Franking the business mail and taking receipt of incoming mail;
- During silent hours carry out regular fence, internal and external building patrols checking for security breaches and fire prevention;
- Advise and assist in training other Vector staff on security issues;
- Carry out other duties as required and detailed separately, with appropriate training;
- Adhere to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.

- SIA Licence or equivalent qualification (e)

- Sisys control pass system (d)
- Operation of CCTV system (d)
Experience
- Experience of work in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Experience of shift work would be advantageous.
