Responsibilities

Plan and procure materials in line with maintenance forecasts, production schedules, and customer requirements.

Source, negotiate, and purchase aircraft parts, consumables, and tooling in compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9100, and company procedures.

Evaluate supplier performance, lead times, and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Develop and maintain material planning parameters (lead times, exchange pools, safety stock levels).
-
Coordinate daily operational requirements, escalating issues as needed.

Engage and develop the supply base to strengthen procurement strategies and supplier performance.

Work closely with repair vendors for exchanges, repairs, and overhauls.
-
Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
-
Ensure certification and traceability compliance (e.g., 8130-3, EASA Form 1).

Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records to support audits and compliance.
-
Analyse supplier cost and performance trends to manage risk and drive savings.
-
Prepare internal reports to promote transparency and accountability.

Collaborate effectively across Engineering, Operations, and Logistics teams.

Support the Procurement Team Leader (Indirect) and deputise for line management as required.

Uphold all QMS, SMS, and EMS standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Demonstrate and promote StandardAero’s values and behaviours.

Required Skills

Strong organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.

Sound knowledge of aircraft parts certification and aviation supply chain standards.

Detail‑oriented and analytical with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Commercially aware and financially astute.
-
Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
-
Awareness of CAA, FAA, and MAA Part 145 requirements.
Desirable Training and Experience
-
CIPS Level 4 or equivalent undergraduate degree.
-
5+ years’ experience in material fulfilment or procurement within aviation MRO.
-
Civil Part 145 training or equivalent experience.
Organisational Relationships
- Reports to: Supply Chain & Logistics Manager (Engines).
- Works closely with: Engineering, Operations, and Logistics.
- Provides materials support to Operational Delivery Teams.
