The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Identify opportunities for business development within existing customer base reporting any competitive activity.
  • Contact customers with relevant information or assistance to enhance opportunities for business development.
  • Carry out customer visits in line with agreed plan to evaluate needs, build relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Provide quotations to the customer and identify any beneficial commercial options.
  • Maintain publication database and commercial records.
  • Provide technical/engineering support to customers during reviews and customer visits.
  • Ensure project profitability is in line with budget expectations.
  • Manage all RTP projects from an engineering perspective.
  • Develop a customer service plan with Sales and Customer Support Coordinator.
  • Review and collate financial data in line with Finance and programme requirements.
  • Provide production engineering cover.
  • Participate in Out of Hours support.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations.
  • Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP).
  • Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level.
  • Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
  • Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder. Training and development will be identified, and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external departments.
  • Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.

Competencies

  • Core: Expertise in commercial and engineering.
  • Strong verbal communication and written skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Organisational Relationships:

  • Reports into the Commercial Manager.
  • Other Senior Management Team members.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Experience in Maintenance Engineering preferred.
  • Experience in a customer facing role preferably in engineering.
  • Working understanding of the regulatory requirements of the aerospace industry.
