Job Type: 6 month FTC (parental leave cover)
Location: This role can be based in either our London or Edinburgh office, with some flexibility to work between the office and home. We will discuss what is important to you, balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

This is a great Secondment opportunity to join our Individual Annuities Proposition team within our Individual Retirement Solutions (RS&AAM) business.

The Role: Your role will be to manage and support the development of our new individual annuity proposition so it continues to help customers achieve their goals, and that we continue to meet the commitments we have made to our customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of the Individual Annuity and wider business strategy and commercial objectives across all channels.
- Assisting colleagues in Distribution and Operations, acting as a proposition subject matter expert, to help meet the needs of customers operating in our target market.
- Working collaboratively with the wider business and provide active support to aid key business deliveries.
- Maintaining ongoing proposition governance activities to ensure we deliver fair outcomes and value for money, and that performance remains in line with expectations set.
- Ensuring the proposition area adheres to all relevant policies and risks, as well as adhering to market and regulatory requirements.
- Staying abreast of market and regulatory developments to understand the impact on our customers and our proposition.
- Assessing the competitiveness of our proposition in the market and highlighting areas to improve our commercial performance.
What are we looking for? The UK retirement market is complex and interconnected. So, as a team, we need to be aware of trends and activity in the wider retirement market to fulfil our role and support our customers. You will need to be a team player, but we also need you to be an individual: one who is flexible and adaptable but is also able to overcome challenges and do the right thing for the customer. To support this you should:
- Have a good working knowledge of the Financial Services industry and the individual annuities market.
- Have experience delivering, or supporting the delivery of, products and propositions.
- Understand the key current and future UK regulations including Consumer Duty and its expectations on a Product & Proposition Team.
- Be able to ensure that the proposition continues to deliver on all promises made to customers, deliver good customer outcomes, operate in line with definitions and remain suitable for target markets.
- Be as confident and as content 'reading the rules', as you are assessing the consequences, developing next steps, communicating ideas and implementing them.
- Be able to develop and maintain communication and relationships at all levels of the Group across different business channels, using your judgement to make good, well informed, decisions and help others to do so.
