The role: We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Standard Life as an Implementation Manager in the Workplace Distribution Implementation team. You will manage the end-to-end implementation of Workplace Pension Schemes for new clients and will create and manage a detailed implementation plan designed to meet specific requirements of the client’s pension scheme, ensuring clear ownership and accountability of tasks. This includes the coordination of work streams across the business to ensure all deliverables are achieved on time, including client communications, scheme design and training. Strong project governance is key, and you will be responsible for the management and tracking of risks and issues to prevent any negative impact on delivery timescales. This is a client-facing role and you will be a key participant at client site visits and ‘beauty parades’, responsible for presenting a clear view of the planned implementation journey to the client, to help secure new business or retain existing clients.
What we are looking for:
- Financial services knowledge in workplace pensions along with experience of working with multiple external advisers and clients.
- The ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of product propositions and specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence at both the external and internal environments by creating positive relationships with stakeholders through appropriate management of their expectations and agreed objectives.
- Proven success in managing and prioritising multiple projects concurrently with different deliverable dates.
- Ability to organise, multitask and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate information, ideas, plans, requests and opinions to internal and external stakeholders through a range of channels including written and oral.
- Deliver regular communications across all stakeholders including the client to support project delivery.
We’re committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.
