The role: We’re on the search for a high performing, ambitious Business Development professional to join our growing business. The successful candidate will play a key role working with Financial Advisers in the wealth area to identify and secure profitable opportunities for the Standard Life Group, from a panel of Financial Adviser ('Adviser') firms; these opportunities will include both Standard Life's retail intermediary investment proposition and our retirement and long term savings products.
To be successful in this role, you will be a proven high achiever who is well versed in exceeding targets on a regular basis. The objective of the role is to increase business levels across all aspects of the investment proposition primarily through meeting (face to face and or virtually) financial advisers across a specified region.
What are we looking for?
- Responsible for engaging with and regularly meeting advisers in order to build, maintain and develop relationships, both face to face and hybrid.
- Accountable for achieving targeted business activity. This includes meeting targets, identifying business needs, outlining our value proposition, and follow up within agreed timescales.
- Keeping client records up to date in line with this activity.
- To deliver production of business plans for aligned area to define strategic interventions to exceed national and business centre targets across all Pension and Investment products, identifying and exploiting local and regional opportunities for growth.
- To be able to analyse business plans and using panel and sales MI to drive actions and future direction, to inform and evolve business plans for short, medium and longer term.
- Responsibility to present information in relation to the product and investment proposition at internal and external events, varying the approach to required audiences.
