We’re looking for a Senior Oversight Analyst to join our Aviva Relationship & Oversight team in supporting one of Standard Life’s key partnerships.
Job Type and Details
- Job Type: Fixed Term Contract 8 Months
- Location: Hybrid, (Birmingham, Edinburgh, Telford offices) and occasional travel to client offices
- Flexible working: All roles are open to part-time, job‑share and other types of flexibility.

- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 plus an indicative bonus range of 8‑16%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

Role Overview
This is a fast‑paced role where no two days are the same. Balancing operational oversight, stakeholder management, governance and continuous improvement activity across both internal and outsourced service providers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring excellent customer outcomes are delivered through effective oversight of our outsourcing partners, whilst building strong collaborative relationships with both Aviva and our Outsourced Service Provider (OSP). Working within a small and supportive team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence, challenge, problem‑solve and make a real impact across operational delivery and governance activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Standard Life, Aviva and outsourced service providers to support effective delivery and customer outcomes.
- Provide operational and governance oversight across outsourced services, ensuring activity is delivered in line with contractual obligations, risk appetite and customer expectations.
- Analyse service performance, operational trends, incidents and customer impacts to identify risks, drive improvements and support informed decision making.
- Lead and contribute to governance forums, preparing clear and concise insight, actions and updates for senior stakeholders.
- Proactively manage and coordinate multiple priorities across BAU activity, change initiatives, incidents and strategic deliverables within a fast‑paced environment.
- Lead and support the resolution of operational issues and escalations through effective problem‑solving, collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Influence and challenge constructively to drive positive outcomes, continuous improvement and effective accountability across internal and external partners.
- Work collaboratively within a small, dynamic team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support wider team priorities when required.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, with proven ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders and work collaboratively across internal teams, clients and outsourced service providers.
- Experience leading governance forums, with proven ability to influence, challenge and drive progress constructively, balancing effective delivery oversight with positive stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical capability, with proven experience to interpret operational performance data, identify emerging risks or early warning indicators and support proactive operational and customer outcomes.
- Comfortable operating within a fast‑paced and evolving environment where priorities can shift and adaptability is important along with a collaborative mindset and team‑focused approach, with willingness to support colleagues and wider team objectives within a small dynamic team.
