Location: This role will be based from our London office with time spent working from home and from the office.

The role: Working closely with the Senior Data Analysts, Transition Managers and Reinsurance team, you will support many aspects of the overall BPA and Reinsurance implementation journeys. You will assist in analysing scheme benefit specifications and large pension datasets, to identify system development requirements to our outsourced administrator’s framework. Provide support to the BPA implementation process, by assisting in the data and payroll reconciliation process by analysing data migration reports provided by our outsourced administrator, replicating the process and challenging any differences. Support with the validation of scheme data during the implementation and data cleanse processes ensuring all data sets are complete, accurate and fully in line with the respective benefit specifications querying any differences. Update models to align with the benefit specifications to allow bulk validations and payroll projections to be run and investigate/query any discrepancies. Support the Transition Manager at Trustee and Scheme Administrator meetings with your knowledge of the scheme data by discussing any data issues found and seeing these through to rectification at data cleanse. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, Phoenix’s outsourced administrator, scheme administrators and Trustees. Assist in the production of detailed and accurate management information to support the oversight of BPA and Reinsurance performance.
What are we looking for?
- Knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pensions, Bulk Purchase Annuities (BPA) or similar long-term savings products.
- Experience analysing, manipulating and validating large datasets, ideally within a pensions, insurance or financial services environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations and data quality checks.
- Experience performing data validation, cleansing and quality assurance activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to investigate data discrepancies, exceptions and anomalies, supporting issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Experience producing and documenting data analysis, reports, reconciliations and findings to support business, customer and regulatory requirements.
