Location: This role could be based from our Telford, Birmingham or Edinburgh office with time spent working from home and from the office (3 days per week in the office)

The Team: Our Investment Operations team administers around 5,000 unit‑linked and with‑profits funds with over 17,000 pricing series linked. Daily responsibilities include oversight of fund accounting and unit pricing, unit matching and box management, trade and settlement processing, validating and overseeing instructions from Phoenix’s Portfolio Management team, and maintaining the data that underpins all our fund‑related activities.
The Role: In this role, you’ll need to apply your technical and leadership skills to guide and support our Fund Data Oversight team as they carry out activities including fund event coordination and processing, fund data reporting, and maintaining static data in fund and policy administration systems. Build on your investment operations expertise to become a technical expert on how we administer our funds. It is critical that you take the lead, challenge how things are done, find solutions, and guide others to do the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of Team – Provide leadership cover for duration of the role, ensuring that team members are supported in their deliverables and given the opportunity to learn and develop.
- Plan, oversee and own team deliverables – Ensure accurate and timely deliverable of the team’s activities, applying specialist knowledge as required.
- Continuous Improvement – Drive forward continuous improvement in Fund Data Oversight team, seeking out efficiencies and creating an environment where team members are empowered to do the same.
- Key Stakeholder Management – Engage with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers; manage service issues to resolution.
- Strategic input – Support the Investment Operations leadership team in identifying strategic change opportunities, developing collateral to support and influence decision makers on future direction of Investment Operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- In-depth knowledge of Investment Operations functions covering unit‑linked fund administration processes (including unit pricing, unit matching, box management and trading).
- Detailed understanding of fund events/corporate actions that occur on collective investment funds, e.g. OEICs and UTs.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and developing subject matter experts.
- Comprehensive understanding of fund hierarchies and fund data structures.
- Proven ability to communicate complicated technical content to stakeholders at all levels.
