We are now looking for a Waiter/Waitressto join our Double Standard team – a restaurant famous for its burgers, DJs, boozy brunches, guest chefs and BBQ\’s, all enjoyed in the 70s-inspired bar space or in the sun-soaked terraces.
Your role
As a Waiter/Waitressat The Standard, you will become part of our exceptional restaurant and bar team for Double Standard. You will be passionate about service, very well organised, with an exceptional working knowledge of restaurant and bar operations, and the order of service.
You will have a deep appreciation and knowledge of our menu and bar offering to confidently host and guide our guests to enhance their experience. You will therefore need to be highly social, upbeat, and friendly; confident and able to handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high-volume, high-energy environment and manage multiple tasks and guests with ease.

- Prior experience as a Waiter/Waitress with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, or destination or high-quality restaurant or cocktail bar
- Confidence in restaurant operations and the order of service, with a passion for food and drinks
- Good level of drinks knowledge from cocktails to beers and wines to confidently make recommendations to guests
- Highly social, motivated, and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
- Available full-time with full flexibility to work Monday–Sunday (shifts between 11am and midnight, Thurs-Sat close is 1.30am)
- In addition to those with experience we are actively seeking candidates with a diverse range of lifestyle skills and welcome applications from those in the arts, music and entertainment industries.
- Prior experience using squirrel epos is advantageous however full training will be given
