The Standard, London has firmly established itself as one of the capital’s most dynamic lifestyle hotels. Set in King’s Cross within the hotel’s iconic brutalist building, The Standard brings its design-led, culture-driven, activation-heavy philosophy to the heart of the city. With 266 guestrooms ranging from snug Cosy Cores to terraced suites with outdoor bathtubs overlooking St Pancras Station, a constant programme of Happenings, from DJs and brunches to live music and cultural panels, the hotel has become both a neighbourhood fixture and an international destination.
Our Restaurants, Bars, and Rooftop terraces are legendary, and The Standard is known worldwide for nightlife and culturally relevant dining. Isla offers seasonal, produce-led menus on a serene garden terrace; Double Standard pairs American diner spirit with British pub classics; The Rooftop serves cocktails and hotdogs with panoramic London views; and Decimo brings bold Mexican Spanish cooking, mezcal, and skyline views via our iconic red-pill lift. Together, these venues create a complex, high-volume, multi-outlet operation running from early morning through late night, welcoming hotel guests, London locals, and international visitors alike.
We are now looking for an experienced Marketing & Culture Manager who will embody our Anything but Standard ethos and lead the continued growth of our incredible brand. As our Marketing and Culture Manager, you will support the Director of Marketing and Culture in the day-to-day running of the department, taking a leading role in the execution of all marketing, cultural and communications activity across both Rooms and Food and Beverage.
You will be responsible for translating strategy into action, ensuring that all campaigns, content, partnerships and activations are delivered to a high standard, on brand, and aligned with the commercial priorities of the hotel. Working closely with the Director, Sales, Revenue and operational teams, you will take ownership of integrated marketing activity across the property, ensuring a cohesive approach across all touchpoints, from rooms to restaurants, bars and cultural programming. This is a hands-on role requiring creativity, organisation and commercial awareness, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing?
- Leading the execution of integrated 360° marketing campaigns across Rooms, Restaurants, Bars and Happenings.
- Bringing our programming calendar to life through compelling storytelling, creative briefs and seamless campaign delivery.
- Managing our digital presence, content calendar, CRM communications, newsletters, paid media activity and agency relationships.
- Building culturally relevant partnerships and collaborations while supporting influencer, VIP and media hosting.
- Producing best-in-class content and marketing collateral through photoshoots, creative production and digital campaigns that stay true to The Standard brand.
- Monitoring campaign performance, reporting on engagement and ROI, and identifying opportunities to continually improve our marketing activity.
This is not a ‘Standard’ Marketing & Culture Manager role so you will need to have serious stamina and passion; thrive in a high volume, high energy environment and able to work equally well both independently and as part of a team. Do you have what it takes to be our Marketing & Culture Manager at The Standard, London?
While we take every detail of design and guest experience seriously, we do not take ourselves too seriously. ‘Standard People’ are at the heart of our brand; vivid, dynamic and engaging. We need a proactive self-starter and are ideally seeking an individual with a Marketing background in the Hospitality industry and other creative industries for at least 3-5 years at a managerial level.
All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates prior to commencing employment.
