Focused on flavour through traditional techniques with contemporary twists, and using only the highest quality ingredients, Decimo showcases open fire cooking, two bar areas with exceptional cocktails, wines, tequila and mezcal, two semi-private dining spaces, and floor-to-ceiling windows providing dramatic views across the London skyline.
We are now looking to grow our leadership team, and are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual who will capture the very essence of this culinary destination and join our team as Decimo Bar Manager.
Your role as Decimo Bar Manager will oversee an exceptional bar team that will provide an extensive drinks service across Decimo's lounge and the restaurant. You will be passionate about service, with an exceptional working knowledge of bar operations and the order of service; along with a deep appreciation of quality wines, champagne and spirits in order to expertly train and develop our bar team, and enhance their guest experience skills.
You will have a hands-on approach to service, working alongside our bar team to prep, create, and mix a range of signature cocktails in addition to mixing and blending all the classics. Your knowledge of the latest trends in the London bar scene and team trainings will also add expertise and a touch of personality and theatre to our guests' experience.
As Decimo Bar Manager, you will also work closely with our Beverage management team to develop ideas to create new signature drinks and cocktails for our menus and special events. As a senior manager, there are a number of additional duties you will undertake including:
- Staff rotas
- Recruitment
- Learning and development
- Implementing Health & Safety policies and compliance practices
Finally, you will be a host, making our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard and our energetic and vibrant city; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and able to handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high volume, high energy environment and manage multiple tasks and guests with ease.

Prior experience as a Bar Manager is essential for this role; you will have an uncompromised and natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests. In addition to this you will also need:
- Prior experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager, with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel or destination cocktail bar
- Confident mixologist with a proven knowledge of spirits & wines, and well versed in both classic and contemporary cocktails
- Experience across a range of management disciplines
- Highly social, motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
- Cocktail prep, opening, closing, requisitions, stocktake, and bar compliance experience preferred
- Prior experience with Birchstreet, Fourth HR, and Sevenrooms is advantageous (full training will be given)
- Full-time availability with a flexible approach to working hours, including late-night (Thurs-Sat, 2.30am finish)
