The team based in London is looking for a Senior Manager (Financial Modelling). This is a fixed term project for 12 months.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will provide financial modelling support for Finance and Treasury related deliverables across Group-led strategic initiatives.
- The role will include partnering with a diverse range of businesses and functions across different geographies to assess the financial, capital and funding implications of initiatives. These may include potential transfers of assets and liabilities, legal entity restructuring, or changes to booking models.
- The role will give excellent exposure to senior stakeholders across the bank and directly impact decision-making on strategically important projects.
- Proven financial modelling expertise and a strong understanding of financial accounting and treasury principles is essential; experience with corporate transactions or restructuring is desirable.
- Develop bespoke financial models to assess the impact of strategic initiatives, including integrated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements for relevant entities and branches.
- This will include working closely with the Group’s Financial Planning team to coordinate numerous financial data owners from different countries, businesses and functions.
- Assess the impact of transactions on Group and country capital ratios and funding requirements, identifying and highlighting any dependencies to ensure ongoing sustainability of the transaction(s).
- Work closely with the Tax and Transfer Pricing team, assess the transfer pricing implications of legal entity reorganisations or alternative booking models.
- Produce funds flow models for transfers of assets and/or entities within the group, ensuring that transactions are aligned with relevant legal steps.
- Prepare high quality MI to communicate analysis and ensure that financial implications of proposed initiatives are well understood by impacted stakeholders.
- Provide updates at relevant project working groups, and ensure escalation in a timely manner of any risks and issues.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams across functions, businesses and geographies, to ensure key milestones are delivered in adherence to the overall programme schedule.
Candidate Should Be Able To Demonstrate
- Applicants should be highly numerate, with advanced skills in financial modelling and data handling.
- Ability to conceptualise, problem-solve and think laterally to navigate complex issues.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and in fluid situations with tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale financial model development, demonstrating strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Deep knowledge of financial accounting and treasury principles.
- Strong understanding of Risk Management and governance processes.

Qualifications
- Working experience in Financial Services / banking industry.
- Relevant qualification in Accounting and/or Treasury (e.g. ACA, CFA, ALMA or ACT).
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong stakeholder and project management skills.
