As a Senior Credit Manager within Specialised Finance Risk, you’ll oversee the credit risk profile of our SF South Asia portfolio, spanning Project Finance, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Transportation Finance and Structured Credit & Trading (SCT). You’ll provide robust challenge, independent oversight and strategic insights that help maintain a strong risk appetite, ensure portfolio resilience, and support business growth.
This role suits someone who is commercially aware, highly analytical, and confident collaborating with senior stakeholders across risk, business and governance forums.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage credit risk across the SF South Asia portfolio, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and portfolio standards.
- Conduct stress testing, analyse outcomes and recommend actions for extreme but plausible scenarios.
- Challenge risk–return decisions and support well-informed credit origination and control judgements.
- Monitor material risk exposures, portfolio trends and early signs of deterioration, initiating proactive remediation.
- Influence risk parameters, policies, exposure limits and control standards.
- Oversee the quality, accuracy and completeness of credit applications and related risk analysis.
- Approve credit proposals within delegated authority and contribute to committee discussions for wider approvals.
- Enhance operational efficiency, risk processes and consistency across the function.
- Support relationship teams in managing challenged accounts and maximising recoveries.
- Prepare timely and accurate risk reporting for committees, audits, regulatory partners and senior stakeholders.
- Uphold strong governance standards, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Strong expertise in Specialised Finance Risk, including:
- Project Finance
- Leveraged & Acquisition Finance
- Transportation (Shipping & Aviation) Finance
- Structured Credit & Trading (SCT)
- Practical experience assessing and managing risk across Specialised Finance portfolios is essential.
- MBA, CA, CFA or equivalent qualifications are an advantage.
- Strong credit fundamentals; completion of a Core Credit Curriculum (post-hire) is expected.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and contribute to cross-functional teams.
