We are seeking an experienced Fund Credit Risk Manager to join our London-based team, leading credit risk coverage across EMEA. This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you will partner closely with the business, Risk colleagues, and senior stakeholders to assess, challenge, and manage complex credit exposures. You will play a key role in safeguarding the organisation’s risk appetite while enabling sustainable growth across Financial Markets.

Working within a collaborative and high-performing environment, you will combine deep technical expertise with commercial judgement to influence risk decisions, enhance processes, and drive best-in-class risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Due Diligence meetings and underwrite and onboard new HFs and RMFs in EMEA.
  • Ongoing monitor risk exposure vs limits, stress losses and portfolio risk profile including NAV and performance, and understand the drivers.
  • Review credit origination activities and approve credit risk exposures proposed by the 1LOD based on delegation authorities.
  • Monitor compliance to Credit Risk Appetite using the risk information report and highlight significant matters for the attention of senior management.
  • Ensure that the quality of the portfolios is maintained within acceptable parameters and escalate significant risks and issues to the senior risk management.
  • Support Head of RMF&HF to improve underwrite quality and efficiency, streamline the process and any other fund risk related tasks.
  • Work closely with the business and colleagues in other regions on live trades and client coverage.
  • Uphold the integrity of risk/return decisions, ensuring that risks are properly assessed and that risk/return decisions are made transparently.
  • Appraise and contribute to the development of the Bank’s strategic plans and alignment with risk appetite through supporting MANCO members and other executives.
  • Engage all stakeholders (e.g. Business partners, Market Risk, Finance, Legal and Compliance) to raise their awareness of Financial Markets’ Product Risks and how these are managed by Traded Risk.
  • Maintain alignment with risk appetite by rebalancing of risks or controls that may be required in response to internal and external factors.
  • Provide input for stress tests on commodity price, foreign exchange, interest rate, and scenario programme in Jump Risk and Global/Regional Counterparty Credit Risk Forum.
  • Be alert to significant market movement and provide appropriate response to material events or other risk issues.
  • Approve FM transactions in compliance with personal delegated authority.
  • Support Global Head, Traded Risk Management in Capital Market activities.
  • Ensure risk identification, measurement, reporting, and modelling capabilities are objective, consistent, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure that material risk exposures and related issues are reported to CCR Head, Europe and RMF&HF for notifying the responsible Financial Markets Product Governance Committees.
  • Design, maintain and effectively communicate risk control parameters across Financial Markets, including policies, control standards, risk exposure limits and other control levers.
  • Ensure the completeness of Operational Risk Control activities, i.e., KCIs/CSTs, Business Continuity Plan, Recovery Exercise, Fire Drills, etc. for Traded Risk Management (TRM).
  • Maintain a good understanding of the requirements of the Bank’s key external stakeholders in respect of risk management.

Skills and Experience

  • C&I Credit Risk Qualifications.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Above.
  • Training: Banking And Role Specific Training.
  • Languages: English.
