We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Cash Product Team, leading the strategy, development and delivery of our Cash Payments products, including the UK FI Clearing and PayTech portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to own products at the heart of the payments ecosystem, enabling financial institutions to move money efficiently, securely and at scale. You’ll work across operations, regulation and client needs to shape innovative solutions and client propositions that support the evolving payments landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Develop and execute the Europe Transaction Banking Cash Management strategy, identifying market trends, growth opportunities and competitive threats.
- Translate client and market needs into new, enhanced or repackaged products supported by robust business cases, commercial analysis and implementation plans.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from strategy and design through delivery, launch and ongoing optimisation.
Business
- Extensive senior product management experience in European payments for Financial Institutions and Multinational Corporates.
- Expertise across Clearing Services, High Value Payments, CHAPS, Bacs, Faster Payments, T2, EURO1, SEPA, Transactional FX, Digital Assets, Domestic Cash Management, Collections, Reporting and Virtual Accounts.
- Experience participating in UK, European and German payments industry forums.
- Strong knowledge of Open Banking, payment innovation and emerging overlay services.
- Proven ability to interpret regulatory change, define business requirements and deliver compliant product enhancements.
- Accountable for product development, commercialisation, governance and product performance, including product assessments and management information.
- Deliver regional implementation of global cash management capabilities in partnership with global and local teams.
Processes
- Experience delivering large-scale payments transformation programmes, including requirements gathering, testing and implementation.
- Define customer propositions covering pricing, features, eligibility, compliance and supporting documentation.
- Ensure strong product governance, documentation and lifecycle management in line with Transaction Banking standards.
People & Talent
- Coach and mentor colleagues across Europe Transaction Banking.
- Deliver product training and webinars to Sales, Coverage and Financial Markets teams to strengthen product knowledge.
Risk Management
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters relating to TB products.
- Ensure country compliance on Group standard for Audit, Control and financial reporting, including reporting of risks.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
- This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrated experience in understanding PRA, FCA and the Bafin regulatory requirements in relation to TB products in Europe and ensure ongoing compliance with them, instigating mitigating actions and product changes and programmes as required.
