Job Summary

This is an exciting role for an Occupational Psychologist with expertise in selection and development talent assessment who will be responsible for delivering a range of assessment-related solutions and projects. In the role, you will have the opportunity to draw upon your specialist technical and consultative skills to lead assessment-related projects alongside a small team of psychologists and internal stakeholders across the Bank’s diverse footprint of markets. You will work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders, drawing upon your skills and expertise in delivering complex, technology-enabled, assessment-related solutions in large organisations.

Whilst a rigorous approach is important, so is practical delivery. The role requires a pragmatist, who appreciates the art and science of assessment and workplace psychology, but also thinks about the needs of the business and maintains a strong focus on the applicability of their practice and delivering assessment solutions that solve business problems and drive performance.

One specific project that will be a key part of this role will be to lead changes in selection assessment tools across our early in career, professional and executive hiring pipelines. Candidates must have experience in this area of assessment to be considered.

Throughout your career, you will have had exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and effectively led cross-functional teams whether in consulting or in-house roles. You will be comfortable communicating with colleagues at all levels and have a strong track record of fast-paced delivery, with feedback from your stakeholders that highlights your collaborative approach and ability to translate ideas into meaningful action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of talent assessment projects, across both selection and developmental assessment focus areas. A specific focus of this role will be to deliver global changes in the selection tools used to support our early career, professional and executive hiring channels.

  • Operate as an internal assessment specialist, providing practical thought leadership, consultancy, and solutions for stakeholders to maximise the value of assessment in support of the business strategy.

  • Oversee evaluation and validation of the assessment methods where relevant, using data and insight to continuously improve the validity, reliability, and efficacy of the tools being used.

  • In partnership with a wide range of HR stakeholders, define, oversee and implement technologies that support talent assessment, with continued specific focus on ensuring return on investment and simplified colleague experience.

  • Be up to date with emerging market trends and technology innovation in the talent assessment domain, bringing external insights into the organisation that continuously improve the impact, use, and experience of talent assessment solutions.

  • Manage third-party relationships and products as needed, taking a commercial and practical approach whilst ensuring adherence to risk and compliance regulatory requirements at all times.

  • Business Acumen, HR Consulting & Project Management

    • Understands the Bank’s business and its activities, including organisational and industry-wide matters, and applies such knowledge to business decisions and activities.

    • Executes projects by managing stakeholder engagement, resources, risk, budgets and resolving problems using the waterfall project management methodology.

    • Knowledge of HR approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.

  • Industry Knowledge & Workforce Analytics

    • Knowledge of the organization’s industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

    • Knowledge of human resources (HR) and workforce issues and trends; ability to analyze workforce data, information, and metrics and apply the results to support business decisions.

  • Effective Communications, Change & Brand Management

    • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    • Knowledge of and ability to align the organization’s people and culture with changes in business strategy, organizational structure, technology, and business processes.

    • Knowledge of, and ability to use, tools and processes for creating and maintaining a marketing approach to promoting the company or a product line.

  • Talent Management

    • Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
