Job Summary

The Skills Solutions & Work Redesign Lead will play a critical role in ensuring that we implement a skills first approach that puts people with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time in service of the Bank’s strategy. The role will be responsible for how we take a skills first approach to job design, looking at how current role constructs can be broken down into tasks and identifying specific skill requirements to complete such tasks. They will work in close partnership with HRBPs and key Business stakeholders to understand the work required to deliver on strategic priorities, and how this can be broken down into tasks and allocated based on skill requirements to deliver the work. This will then lead to close collaboration with our Organisational Design to develop a framework for how this will feed into the overall organisational design of the Bank and the impact of respective role constructs across different areas of the Business. They will be responsible for defining a consistent approach for how work within existing roles can be automated / enhanced through technology, and how components of fixed roles can be identified and reallocated to enable more project based, ‘gig’ working across the organisation.

  • Strong awareness and understanding of the markets and sectors in which the Bank operates to be able to project what the current and future of these markets and sectors looks like and how this will impact skill requirements across the Business.

  • Lead themselves and team members in line with our Bankwide values of ‘Better Together’, ‘Never Settle’ and ‘Do the Right Thing’. Constant adherence to the Bank’s culture of high performance that drives innovation through continuous career focused conversations.
