Executive Director, Regional Head of Cash Sales Europe, (UK, France, Germany or Sweden)

As Standard Chartered Bank continues to grow its Transaction Banking business in the UK & Europe region, we are looking for a Regional Head of Cash Sales UK & Europe to join our team.
In this role you will manage the whole regional Cash Sales team with the focus on driving the regional Cash Sales strategy and developing and supporting your teams. You will be also responsible for growing existing client portfolio revenues and deepening client relationships in line with assigned targets. The location is flexible as this role can be filled in the United Kingdom, France, Germany or Sweden.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growing existing client portfolio revenues and deepening client relationships in line with assigned targets.
  • Pro-actively lead Sales opportunity development with the CIB team and regional TB Sales team.
  • Manage the whole regional cash sales team. Coach and advise them on growth and development.
  • Take the lead in identifying explicit and implied client needs, engaging key influencers and decision makers, developing solutions and leading proposals and pitches to clients.
  • Accountable for managing the execution through to revenue realization.
  • Complete ownership of TB client level franchise revenue.
  • Development of cash, liquidity, trade and transactional FX solutions.
  • Leading the delivery of proposals (RfP and RfI) and pitches to the clients, engaging and coordinating with relevant internal teams.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of clients’ treasury priorities and policies for Cash and Trade sales processes.
  • Build full access to TB decision makers through active client calling.
  • Deep understanding of clients’ business needs, footprint, buying centers and decision making process.
  • Drives TB Client Map for the region and Account Plan commitments.
  • Deep understanding of client ecosystem and supply chain.
  • Drives open account growth agenda for Europe and develops an action plan for the team.
  • Build full access to trade finance decision makers through active client calling; including procurement and trading centres, strategic sourcing, export teams, structured financing teams, channel/distribution management teams.
  • Build access at operating levels within the client Trade department/divisions.
  • Provide input to Product Managers on evolving client and competitor landscape.
  • Active role in credit & compliance approvals on Credit Applications deviations for assigned portfolio.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience gained in the regional cash sales roles in the banking industry in a leadership position.
  • Very good knowledge of the markets and client trade landscape in at least two European markets (e.g. France, Iberia, Benelux, Germany, Nordics, UK).
  • Great stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Commercial mindset, analytical skills, hands-on and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Fluency in English is a must, fluency in other European languages which are spoken in a given region are beneficial.
