The Executive Assistant role at Standard Chartered offers a distinctive opportunity to provide high‑calibre, comprehensive support to Managing Directors and their dynamic teams. Situated in London with a hybrid work style – 3 days in the office to be worked flexibly according to business demand, this position is crucial for enabling efficient business operations through expert management of schedules, communications, and administrative duties. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination within a fast‑paced, evolving financial services environment, balancing multiple priorities with attention to detail to uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

This role demands a strategic partner who can anticipate needs, navigate complex workflows, and deliver proactive solutions while fostering effective communication across various stakeholders. You will be instrumental in supporting critical leadership objectives by managing intricate travel logistics, expense reconciliations, and workforce‑related processes, all while maintaining strict compliance and governance adherence. Working in this capacity will not only provide exposure to senior leadership decision‑making but also contribute to the broader business success by driving operational excellence in administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inbox and Communication Management: Monitor emails, prioritising actions according to business needs and developments. Proactively following up with calendar placeholders, confirmations and ensuring associated documentation, logistics, costings, are in place as required.
  • Complex Travel Coordination: Organise multi‑leg international travel itineraries incorporating in policy traveller preferences. Arranging relevant visas, documentation and advising compliance regulations to ensure optimal executive mobility and trip efficiency.
  • Expense and Financial Administration: Process high volumes of expenses with accuracy including foreign exchange reconciliations and timely submissions, alongside approving expenses, G&E and purchase orders. Provide regular, succinct and well‑presented updates to Managing Directors to ensure awareness of payments and outstanding balances.
  • Workforce Management: Oversee recruitment logistics, liaising with search firms, coordinating interviews, administration for onboarding and relocation processes to ensure seamless integration of new talent. Support all existing workforce related tasks for established international teams as required.
  • Event and Roadshow Planning: Manage logistics for client events, securing venues, arranging hospitality, coordinating specialist requirements such as translators, and ensuring cost controls throughout procurement and invoicing process.
  • Governance Compliance Support: Support completion of administration for all required sponsorship, governance, legal, financial, compliance procedures.
  • Absence and Attendance Oversight: Monitor and approve absence requests, maintaining global calendars to ensure adequate coverage and business continuity.

This multifaceted role requires an agile, detail‑oriented approach to effectively support senior leadership's dynamic and evolving needs.
