Key Responsibilities

  • Origination, structuring, coverage and execution of aviation mandates in Europe, Americas, Middle East & Africa.
  • Perform in‑depth credit, financial and cash flow analysis using various methodologies relevant for the aviation industry.
  • Build detailed financial models to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and analyse the impact of different capital structures, including both debt and lease solutions.
  • Support the team in maximizing customer profitability by providing innovative and value‑added aviation financing while managing the risk to the bank.
  • Assist deal team leaders in end‑to‑end origination to execution including due diligence, financial modelling, preparation and presentation of information memoranda, business credit applications, supporting documentation and execution of transactions to reach financial close and funding.
  • Conduct advisory and industry analytics work including industry research, analysis of company financials, preparation of pitchbooks, coordination of investor feedback, and management of third‑party consultants.
  • Generate ideas to address internal or client challenges.
  • Support the strategic development of the business, including management and execution of ad‑hoc projects.

Qualifications

  • Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Law or Business qualification with industry experience and a degree or postgraduate qualification from a top‑tier school.
  • 6+ years of work experience preferred in a credit and/or lending related environment such as corporate finance, credit markets and/or structured finance.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and networks, and demonstrated transaction experience across different asset financing structures.
  • Strong analytical, writing, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
  • Prior relevant experience in a top‑tier bank with a track record in structured debt, project finance, M&A, capital markets, financial markets or corporate finance transactions is favourable.
  • Solid financial evaluation and modelling skills.
  • Ability to excel in both team and self‑directed settings.
  • Strong work ethic, detail orientation and a passion for excellence.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask and deliver under time pressure in a highly competitive and dynamic deal‑driven environment.
  • Pro‑active, flexible team member with a “can‑do” mentality.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is a must; additional languages are a plus.
