Are you ready to shape the future of financial resilience in a global banking environment? We are seeking a proactive and strategic Associate Director to join our Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) team in Group Treasury. In this pivotal role, you’ll help ensure the Bank’s readiness in times of financial stress by enhancing recovery planning processes, partnering with business lines, and engaging with regulators and key stakeholders. You’ll combine analytical thinking, regulatory insight, and project management skills to deliver on high-impact initiatives that strengthen the Bank's stability and financial recovery capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership & Strategy: Work closely with business lines to document and enhance the Bank’s financial recovery options. Update and align Early Warning Indicators across our global footprint. Partner with stakeholders to optimise crisis management plans and support enhanced monitoring protocols.
  • Recovery Plan Execution & Process Improvement: Deliver key components of the Group Recovery Plan under the guidance of senior team members. Manage project timelines, track progress, and mitigate risks across deliverables. Implement continuous improvements to Early Warning Indicators, Recovery Options and crisis response playbooks. Ensure regulatory feedback (e.g. PRA) is addressed and expectations are met. Align Country Recovery Plans with Group frameworks and standards.
  • Leadership & Innovation: Lead the Solo Recovery Plan development, including committee material preparation. Support crisis management testing initiatives and the rollout of a document management solution. Champion innovative tools, including AI solutions, to enhance team efficiency.

Skills and Qualification

  • Skills: Strong project management and problem-solving abilities. Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented but able to see the big picture. Capable of influencing diverse stakeholders across regions and functions. Comfortable working independently and under pressure. Team-oriented, with a collaborative mindset and integrity-driven approach.
  • Qualifications: Prior experience in recovery planning, resolution, or stress testing at a G-SIB or consultancy. Deep understanding of PRA regulatory frameworks. Working knowledge of Treasury, Capital, and Liquidity functions. Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional projects. Ability to work with international teams and coach or guide where necessary.
