Qualifications
- Implement data and information management operating standards such as data quality, data lifecycle management, meta data, and data privacy and protection as set out in the relevant data governance frameworks, policies, standards, processes, and procedures.
- Support the business in understanding how data is collected, stored, used and deleted using tools and methodologies to improve the adoption of information management and accountability.
Experience Required:
- Experience in understanding data structures, data repositories, database types and how data moves between systems.
- Experience in data lifecycle management.
- Good understanding of data artifacts, gathering and documenting business requirements to support solution builds, both business and technical requirements.
- Understanding of data warehousing, metadata management, data analysis and data validation.
- Understanding of information risk, data privacy and protection of information and the types of regulations they speak to.
- Must be able to understand and apply data governance policies and standards, interpret regulations and align them with business requirements.
- Knowledge in banking and related regulatory standards to adhere to compliance requirements, identifying risks, reporting, and managing risks would be advantageous.
- Experience and understanding in data security, data quality and the impact on business processes.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, data flows and integration patterns, structured and unstructured data.
Key Outputs:
- Execute Data Governance programme plans to ensure adherence to data governance principles on risk, data security, compliance, and data protection and privacy.
- Report and manage data related information risk in the business working with other risk partners to ensure that information risk is managed and raised in appropriate forums.
- Drive adherence to the Data Governance Framework by continuously driving awareness and escalating any compliance issues.
- Help the business to understand the value of data by articulating how data fits in business processes.
- Execute the designed change management program to educate internal stakeholders on data management, data quality and relevant data sources within area of responsibility to drive effective data management and governance within the organization.
- Implement business and data quality rules, metrics and requirements, including the values, ranges, and parameters that are acceptable for each data element to ensure consistency and quality of data.
