Job Description
PLEASE NOTE:
- This role is not open to relocation. Only candidates who have residency and right to work in Jersey can be considered.
- This role is a 6-9 month Fixed Term Contract.
To provide a first line of support to the Relationship Managers, while ensuring that an exceptional service is delivered at all times producing a favourable client experience and maintaining a high level of integrity and ethical standards, within defined compliance and risk parameters.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:- Secondary/High school/A levels/Matric
- 3 - 4 years experience in Business & Commercial Banking
- Broad knowledge of the banking industry gained through having worked in a banking environment, knowledge of business and back office operations.
- Experience in a Compliance, Risk, Know your Customer (KYC) or a New Business role, with exposure to AML (Anti-Money Laundering), CFT (Countering the Financing of Terrorism) and ABC (Anti-Bribery & Corruption) would be a distinct advantage.
- Assist the manager as required to deliver projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the departmental operations.
- Contribute to credit applications and renewals and assist with the credit process including liaising with external parties and the credit risk team.
- Develop a sound understanding of the client's needs, addressing client's queries/requests timeously, monitoring their progress to ensure they are resolved/addressed by acting as a liaison between clients and internal departments and providing accurate and timely administrative support to relationship managers, to provide seamless experience to clients, including relationship management of lower value clients as agreed with the Regional Managers.
- Ensure accurate information is loaded onto the Bank's systems and provided to the Manager or others in the team when need be or upon request.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, service levels and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and legislation.
