Key responsibilities and duties
- Responsible for carrying out all guarding duties to a high standard, and in accordance with the Fleetlands Business Manual procedures;
- Maintain familiarity with the relevant procedures of the Fleetlands Business Manual referring any anomalies or required amendments to line management
- Comply with all Health & Safety legislation relating to the role and be proactive in reporting safety hazards and accidents in accordance with current instructions;
- Carry out vehicle searches;
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to, and egress from, the site;
- Maintaining data and writing reports on breaches of security or defects etc. and forward to Line Manager;
- Operate and monitor security systems, CCTV and alarms;
- Respond to emergencies in line with local emergency procedures
- Prevention of fire. Liaise with emergency services in an emergency. Co-operate with other security providers;
- Safeguard classified information and materials;
- Operate and communicate effectively;
- Assisting in maintaining Site safety with de-icing and snow clearance activities;
- Monitoring of flood / spill high risk areas and initial response;
- Issue and receipt of keys
- Recording information on computerised and manual systems;
- Lock up/open up of all buildings & carry out internal patrols;
- To aid the business by taking receipt of parcels/packages from couriers after business hours;
- Franking the business mail, and taking receipt of incoming mail;
- During silent hours carry out regular fence, internal and external building patrols checking for security breaches and fire prevention;
- Advising and assisting in training for other Vector staff on Security issues;
- To carry out other duties as required and detailed separately, with appropriate training;
- Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.

- Experience of work in a similar role would be advantageous. Experience of shift work would be advantageous.
