Line Manager: Security Team Leader
Purpose of the role: Responsible for providing an overt security presence to protect the site, its assets and employees from security and physical threats and respond to emergencies by contacting the relevant stakeholders, call-out list or emergency services.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Responsible for carrying out all guarding duties to a high standard, and in accordance with the StandardAero Business Manual procedures;
- Maintain familiarity with the relevant procedures of the StandardAero Business Manual referring any anomalies or required amendments to line management;
- Comply with all Health & Safety legislation relating to the role and be proactive in reporting safety hazards and accidents in accordance with current instructions;
- Carry out vehicle searches;
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to, and egress from, the site;
- Maintaining data and writing reports on breaches of security or defects etc. and forward to Line Manager;
- Operate and monitor security systems, CCTV and alarms;
- Prevention of fire. Liaise with emergency services in an emergency. Co-operate with other security providers;
- Safeguard classified information and materials;
- Respond to emergencies in line with local emergency procedures;
- Operate and communicate effectively;
- Assisting in maintaining Site safety with de-icing and snow clearance activities;
- Monitoring of flood / spill high risk areas and initial response;
- Issue and receipt of keys;
- Recording information on computerised and manual systems;
- Lock up/open up of all buildings & carry out internal patrols;
- To aid the business by taking receipt of parcels/packages from couriers after business hours;
- During silent hours carry out regular fence, internal and external building patrols checking for security breaches and fire prevention;
- Advising and assisting in training for other StandardAero staff on Security issues;
- To carry out other duties as required and detailed separately, with appropriate training;
- Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.
Core:
- Must be able to achieve Security Clearance (SC);
- Able and comfortable to work alone and unsupervised and supporting the team;
- Planning and organising work to achieve key objectives;
- Organising, recording and retrieving information using computer and manual systems;
- Using available resources to achieve value for money;
- Managing the provision of services;
- Full UK Driving Licence (Car).

- Maintain a good level of fitness.
Organisational Relationships: Reports to the Security Team Leader
Professional Qualifications/Education and Training: First Aid at work trained. Operation of CCTV system.
Experience: Experience of work in a similar role would be advantageous. Experience of shift work would be advantageous.
