Description

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

  • Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, health and safety procedures, quality procedures, manufactures and customer specification and industry regulations.

  • Raise Non-conformance reports as necessary.

  • Carry out extensive Inventory of components/accessories. Checking for any damage, anomalies and that all supporting documents are correctly completed.

  • Disassemble accessories to an acceptable level depending on customer/OEM manual requirements.

  • Carry out cleaning of components as appropriate and according to manual instruction.

  • Inspect all relevant components and identify items for serviceability, scrap, rework or refit using product information and OEM manuals, in accordance with company procedures and Quality Manuals.

  • Ensure all components for rebuilding are to required specifications.

  • Assemble accessories to defined manual standard ensuring fit, clearance and modification levels are accurate.

  • Prepare/set up accessories for testing.

  • Test accessories and ensure all test standards/limits are met, to required OEM specifications.

  • Carry out final checks on accessories ensuring all paperwork is appropriately stamped.

  • Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout all processes in a safety conscious manner.

  • Continuously meet expected turn time targets, working efficiently and methodically to achieve this.

  • Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP.)
  • Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level.
  • Willing to work flexible/extra working hours to cover production work load requirements.
  • Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external departments.
  • Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder. Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness
  • Support company improvement plans by being a willing participate in any projects, providing a positive contribution when called upon.

  • Working knowledge of Engine publications and work instructions including overhaul and maintenance manuals, parts catalogues and service bulletins. (Training Provided)
  • Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation including process paperwork, parts routing procedures, Engineering Repair Instructions, Detailed Work Instructions and Non-Conformance Report system.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Engine publications and work instructions including overhaul and maintenance manuals, parts catalogues and service bulletins. (Training Provided)
  • Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation including process paperwork, parts routing procedures, Engineering Repair Instructions, Detailed Work Instructions and Non-Conformance Report system.

Organisational Relationships:

  • Directly responsible to Operations Team Leader

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

Desirable

  • Have a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ and BTEC level 3 in an engineering discipline or military equivalent.

  • Human Factors Training.

Experience:

Essential

  • Have an engineering background and possess relevant certification

  • Have worked within the industry
