The Business Systems Analyst acts as a liaison between the IT ERP Products, IT DevOps team & the users of technology within StandardAero.

Key responsibilities and duties:
  • Manage the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for software bugs and enhancements, ensuring delivery of changes that meet the stakeholder requirements and timeline.
  • Lead the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements and specifications in collaboration with internal users and departments.
  • Provide day-to-day functional support for StandardAero’s ERP systems, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, and coordinating fixes.
  • Monitor system performance and data integrity; escalate technical issues to developers or vendors as needed.
  • Assist users with inquiries, process questions, and system navigation.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into functional requirements.
  • Map current and future-state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement or automation.
  • Support change management activities, including documenting training materials and assisting with user adoption.
  • Participate in ERP enhancement projects, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and validated.
  • Collaborate with IT, PMO, and business groups to design, test, and implement new features and modules.
  • Perform functional testing, regression testing, and support UAT with end users.
  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Assist in developing dashboards, queries, and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across ERP modules and integrated systems.
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, finance, engineering, and MRO business units to understand unique requirements.
  • Partner with vendor support teams to resolve issues and evaluate enhancement options.
  • Provide training and coaching to end users across the enterprise.
Position Requirements:
  • Recognised higher education certificate in computer related subject or relevant experience working in IT.
  • Alternatively; Relevant industry domain experience & transferable skills gained through career background.
  • Recognized experience with ERP system technology, and deep business understanding of ERP domains (Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Human Resources, Inventory Management, Sales, Purchasing, etc).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in eliciting requirements from end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and documentation.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff.
  • Keen attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of core business (manufacturing) processes: procurement, inventory, production, finance, or Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise their time.
Preferred Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident/change management.
  • Recognised Business Analysis accreditation (IIBA / BCS) (or prepared to work towards).
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of a broad range of Aerospace MRO processes and supporting Business Systems functionality is considered an asset.
  • Experience of BI Software and Tools (e.g. Power BI, Snowflake etc.).
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles and their application.

This role requires the individual to hold Security Clearance (SC) and be cleared for ITAR. Support will be given by the company to apply for SC if not currently held.
