Solicitor - Debt Recovery / Enforcement
- Location: Liverpool
- Salary: £45,000-£55,000 DOE + bonus
- Contract: Permanent, full-time
- Working pattern: 50/50 hybrid with flexitime, starting between 7am and 10am
The role
The Solicitor will join the Enforcement Team, managing their own caseload focused on recovering money due following settlement, judgment or breach of agreement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a debt recovery and enforcement caseload
- Recovering damages, legal costs, disbursements and other outstanding sums
- Reviewing settlement agreements, judgments, court orders and costs schedules
- Monitoring payments and identifying defaults
- Drafting Letters Before Action and formal demands
- Negotiating recovery of legal fees and expenses
- Handling Part 8 proceedings and enforcement applications
- Drafting N260s and other court documentation
- Liaising with clients, defendants, courts and enforcement agents
- Progressing unpaid judgments, damages and costs through the appropriate enforcement route
- Providing practical advice on recovery strategy
Experience required
They're particularly interested in Solicitors with experience across:
- Debt recovery
- Civil litigation
- Costs recovery / enforcement
- County Court proceedings
- Recovering unpaid judgments, damages or costs
- Drafting and negotiation
Experience with Proclaim is advantageous rather than essential.
