Hybrid working available | Professional Services
At Standard 8, we’re exclusively representing a professional services business where Proclaim isn’t a bolt-on. It’s the core system the operation runs on, day in, day out. This is a busy, grown-up environment with high volumes, complex workflows, and serious data. The leadership team understands the difference between having Proclaim and running it properly.
They’re hiring a Proclaim Developer who wants ownership, not tickets. Someone who understands that workflows don’t fail because of code alone, but because they weren’t designed with reality in mind. Scale, pressure, edge cases – all of it matters here. You’ll be trusted to think before you build, to challenge weak assumptions, and to make decisions that hold up when the system is under load.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Taking end-to-end responsibility for Proclaim changes, from initial scoping through to delivery.
- Running proper discovery with legal, operational and senior stakeholders to understand how work really flows.
- Building and maintaining Proclaim in a live, high-throughput environment where downtime and bad data are not tolerated.
- Designing workflows that shorten handling times, protect data quality and don’t crumble at scale.
- Writing and tuning SQL for reporting and operational insight.
- Reviewing existing setups and calling out where Proclaim is introducing friction, risk or unnecessary complexity.
- Acting as a calm, pragmatic technical voice during change, focused on outcomes rather than theory.
What you’ll need to bring:
- Proven, hands-on experience developing in Proclaim.
- Strong SQL Server skills, particularly around reporting and data integrity.
- Experience scoping work properly before building anything, and managing expectations when trade-offs are needed.
- The confidence to work directly with non-technical stakeholders and keep conversations grounded and productive.
- A mindset geared towards fixing root causes, not applying short-term patches.
This role’s for someone who takes real pride in building solid, lasting systems. No micromanagement, just proper ownership of a platform the business truly relies on. If that sounds like your kind of setup, Standard 8 would love to chat.
