The role
You’ll be joining a specialist engineering organisation working at the forefront of the space sector, supporting systems and programmes that quite literally operate beyond Earth. They’re investing heavily in their data platform and need someone hands-on with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to help bring structure, reliability, and clarity to how data is used across the business. This isn’t a theory-heavy role or a “sit in meetings all day” position. It’s about getting stuck into the platform, improving data flows, and building reporting that engineers, finance teams, and operational staff actually rely on.
What you’ll be doing
- Working within Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse + Warehouse)
- Building and maintaining data pipelines (ADF / Fabric)
- Bringing data in from source systems (incl. ERP / SAP-type environments)
- Creating clean, reliable data models for reporting
- Developing Power BI reports and dashboards
- Improving performance and structure of existing datasets
- Supporting basic governance (RLS, access, workspace organisation)
- Working with stakeholders to understand reporting needs
What they’re looking for
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Solid Power BI skills
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or Fabric pipelines
- Good SQL
- Experience working with structured business data (ERP / finance / ops)
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, delivery-focused role
