£50k – 55K | Hybrid 2 days a week
Standard 8 are working with a business that’s behind standout digital experiences for some big names in entertainment, as well as fresh challengers making their mark. They don’t just design sites that look good, they build platforms that perform, scale, and make brands impossible to ignore.
They’re looking for a Senior WordPress Developer who can bring more than just code to the table. Someone who understands design, writes clean, scalable builds, and knows how to lead – from guiding projects to mentoring others and raising the bar for the whole team.
What you’ll be doing:
• Building responsive, design-led WordPress sites (React skills welcome but not essential)
• Working confidently with APIs and integrations
• Collaborating with designers and strategists to deliver bold ideas as smooth, functional builds
• Taking a leadership role – code reviews, mentoring, setting best practice
• Stepping into client conversations when needed, translating technical detail into clear guidance
What you’ll bring:
• 7+ years’ commercial experience (more is a plus)
• Strong skills across WordPress, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• PHP knowledge is desirable
• Comfort with design tools (Adobe, Figma etc)
• Proven leadership – mentoring, project ownership, or delivery oversight
• A passion for building work that stands out
