Done with being tied to a site office, managing the same six builds on repeat, and watching your earning potential flatline? Our client is an established residential insurance repair company working on the panels of six major Australian insurers, operating across QLD, NSW, ACT, and Victoria since 2008.
Earn $130k+ base + super. Fully maintained company vehicle + laptop + phone provided. Work from anywhere in QLD, NSW, Victoria, or South Australia. Varied work across storm, flood, fire, and hail insurance claims, no two days the same. Established subcontractor network already in place, no relationship building from scratch. Annual salary reviews with the ability to accelerate for strong performers.
This is a fast-paced, desk-based project management role. You will be managing a portfolio of up to 80 residential insurance repair jobs at any one time, across multiple trades, stages, and states. This is not a traditional construction PM role. If you are used to managing six to eight new builds, this will be a gear change and a welcome one for the right person.
Day to day you will be:
- Scheduling and coordinating trades across a high-volume portfolio of active insurance repair jobs
- Managing budgets and tracking job progress through the company's claims platform
- Handling customer escalations and complaints from homeowners and insurers directly
- Supporting field supervisors remotely and problem-solving trade issues from your desk
- Attending site only for serious escalations, otherwise the role is behind a computer
- Working across repair types including bathrooms, kitchens, roofing, and structural repairs
The role is approximately 85 to 90 percent computer-based. Full training on internal systems is provided.
What We Need
- A trade background, carpenter is ideal, electrician or plumber also considered
- Experience managing complex, multi-trade scheduling at volume, this is the number one filter
- Insurance repair or building experience strongly preferred, EQC repair or post-Canterbury contractors map directly to this role
- Exposure to large loss or high-value residential repairs, claims above $20k are your domain
- Strong computer literacy and comfort learning new systems quickly
- Renovation knowledge across bathrooms, kitchens, and roofing, roofing a significant bonus given current hail event volumes in QLD
- Ability to manage customer and insurer escalations professionally and calmly
Why This Role
At $130k plus super, a fully maintained vehicle, laptop, phone, and up to $20k in incentive potential, this is a strong package for a role you can do from your own home. You are not commuting to a site office or managing the same slow-moving builds week after week. The work is varied, the pace is real, and the earning potential grows with your performance.
