We're looking for a Communications Account Executive Intern for a six-month internship to support our growing client portfolio, who is available to start right away.

Supporting on our client work, you'll flag ideas and develop plans for reactive and proactive outreach, including creative ideas for consumer campaigns. With a flair for social media and digital content, you'll share ideas for how to improve engagement. You get a buzz from learning about complex topics and the latest AI tool, enabling you to develop clear content for purpose-driven clients, who are addressing some of the most challenging issues of the day. You're looking for somewhere you can start your career and feel like you belong. You will learn the ropes of PR and Digital client work alongside a brilliant team who will support and guide you every day. Account Executives get the chance to make a real impact, and are exposed to clients and senior experts from early on, in an environment where your contribution is celebrated and rewarded.
The job will involve:
- Being a supporting member of client teams, undertaking research tasks, preparing and updating media lists, supporting on content creation for social media, writing media pitches and selling-in stories
- Gaining an understanding of your clients' business and organisational objectives, sector, challenges and opportunities, and competitor landscape
- Monitoring and flagging breaking news and developments in your clients' space
- Contributing to Stand's new business and marketing efforts by leading on research tasks
- Attending internal and client meetings
- Developing human-led stories and consumer ideas; staying on top of the latest trends and sector developments
- Taking part in creative brainstorms, helping to develop standout ideas for outreach and campaigns
- Supporting with regional sell-ins and content, ensuring that local stories get the attention they deserve
The role will be four days per week (Monday-Thursday), all office based.
Your experience and skillset:
- A degree or equivalent
- 3-6 months' previous relevant internship experience. This could be an in-house or agency Marketing / PR role, or in a similar industry, such as journalism
- Top notch written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding and hunger to learn about the media landscape and experience of pitching to media
- Experience with social media content and tools like Canva, with the ability to translate long-form content into bite-sized digital-first content
- An innate creativity and knack for developing great ideas
- Interest in one or more of our client sectors: finance, sustainability and clean energy, healthcare, charities, education
- A keen interest in exploring sector trends, developments and real people's stories
