What you'll be doing

  • Managing the laundry and canteen teams day-to-day, including performance, conduct, and attendance
  • Planning and managing rosters for both teams to ensure adequate coverage
  • Completing all laundry administration including records, documentation, reporting, and system audits
  • Overseeing canteen operations to ensure food safety standards and service quality are consistently met
  • Participating as a working member of the laundry team when not performing management or admin duties
  • Reporting regularly to the HR Manager on team performance and operational matters
  • Escalating issues that involve disciplinary action, compliance risk, or fall outside the scope of the role
  • Conducting workplace inspections, audits, and hazard reporting in line with WHS obligations
  • Managing stock, consumables, and equipment maintenance across both functions

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or operational management role
  • Strong ability to lead teams, manage rosters, and address performance matters
  • Solid administration and record-keeping skills with attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety obligations
  • Experience in laundry, facilities, hospitality, or a similar operational environment (desirable)
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work constructively with HR/ OH&S and management
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
