What you'll be doing:

  • Providing Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, network, and systems issues β€” acting as the escalation point from Level 1 and mentoring junior staff.
  • Administering Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), and Windows/Linux server infrastructure.
  • Managing virtualisation platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), backup and disaster recovery solutions, and routine patching across servers and endpoints.
  • Supporting and maintaining LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN β€” monitoring performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Implementing endpoint security, monitoring security alerts, responding to incidents, and conducting regular audits of user access and system configurations.
  • Participating in IT projects β€” infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and new technology rollouts β€” and maintaining accurate documentation throughout.

What you'll bring:

  • 2–3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, with solid hands-on skills across Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), virtualisation (VMware or Hyper-V), and backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Sound understanding of networking fundamentals β€” TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls β€” and experience configuring routers and switches.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail in documentation, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Clear communicator β€” comfortable translating technical information for non-technical stakeholders and working across a broader team.
  • A diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field β€” or equivalent practical experience. Relevant certifications (AZ-104, CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL) are a bonus.

Nice to have: experience with Azure or AWS, endpoint management tools (Intune/SCCM), Linux server administration, RMM tools, or scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
