We’re seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our Processing Plant team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly.

Your Role

Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you’ll support the day-to-day purchasing and inventory activities of the processing plant.

No two days are the same, and you’ll play an important part in ensuring the plant has the materials and services it needs to operate efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Raising and managing purchase orders.
  • Liaising with suppliers on pricing, availability and delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier records.
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory planning.
  • Ensuring purchasing activities comply with company policies.
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Data entry and reporting using Microsoft Excel.
  • Managing filing and document organisation.
  • Assisting with stock location management within the warehouse.
  • Coordinating delivery receivals and dispatch.
  • Maintaining supplier certificates and supplier questionnaires.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Confident using computers, with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory-related roles.
  • Customer service experience, with a strong phone-based communication style.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of inventory systems and stock entry processes.
  • Able to work independently, show initiative and manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
