This is an opportunity to join one of the first specialist industrial door companies with over 50 years of trading history. We install and repair a wide range of equipment including industrial doors, personnel doors, gates, barriers and loading equipment. We are an “Investors in People” company with Silver accreditation, have achieved ISO9001 and Safe Contractor accreditation, and are members of the Door and Hardware Federation. The company operates locally across 20 teams based in Milton Keynes, Kettering, Peterborough and Rugby, with most work within 30 miles of the depots.
Role Overview
Operating mainly in teams of two, the Trainee Industrial Door Engineer installs, repairs and services industrial doors, loading bay and access equipment. This role suits someone with transferable mechanical skills who is eager to progress to a field engineer position. Training lasts between 3 and 9 months. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with overtime as required. After training the engineer participates in a 24‑hr emergency call‑out rota (1 week in 10), with standby and call‑out fees plus overtime paid.

Essential:
