We are seeking a reliable and organised Logistics Operative to join the Stan Robinson team. This is a varied role combining administrative responsibilities within the transport planning office, and hands-on warehouse FLT duties. The successful candidate will play a key part in providing accurate record-keeping, the efficient coordination of deliveries and ensuring the smooth movement of goods.
Transport Planning Office / Administration Duties:
- Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries
- Scheduling transport and liaising with drivers and third-party hauliers
- Processing delivery paperwork and transport documents
- Updating internal systems with accurate logistics data
- Dealing efficiently with customer and supplier queries regarding deliveries.
Alongside your office duties, you will be required to provide warehouse support.
Warehouse Duties:
- Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Stock control, including inventory checks and reporting discrepancies
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
- Operating forklift trucks in line with health and safety regulations.
You should have:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems)
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- A valid forklift licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach)
- Previous experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment
- Experience in a transport planning office or transport coordination role
- Knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance
- Familiarity with logistics or warehouse management systems
