Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various routes effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with courier companies, including Yodel, Evri, DPD, or a combination of these, and should preferably have their own vehicle. The role requires the candidate to be flexible and available to work across the Central Belt of Scotland and Fife.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver packages and documents promptly and safely to designated locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery times.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
  • Assist in loading and unloading items, which may involve heavy lifting.
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety on the road.
  • Report any issues or delays in deliveries to management immediately.

Skills

  • Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a driver is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving practices and regulations.
  • Strong driving skills with an ability to navigate efficiently through urban areas.
  • Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading tasks.
