We are excited to invite applications for a Human Resources and Payroll Administrator to join our welcoming, supportive, and hard-working team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone with some HR experience who is eager to build a career in a busy and rewarding environment. You will receive full training and support, but strong numeracy skills and a natural aptitude for problem-solving are essential.
This role offers the chance to work with a variety of systems, develop new skills, and gain a broad understanding of HR within the education sector. You will support the HR Managers with a range of administrative duties, including casework and maintaining accurate employee records within the HRIS. You will develop expertise in the HRIS and payroll systems (full training provided), supporting payroll processes such as new starters, leavers, and contractual changes, and providing cover for the Payroll Manager when required.
The role also includes deputising for and supporting colleagues with recruitment and onboarding processes, including pre-employment checks. You will produce people data reports, ensure all HR documentation is accurate and up to date, manage the HR inbox, respond to queries, and assist with general administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders.

- Good standard of general education (including evidence of numeracy).
- Intermediate to advanced ability with Excel.
- Experience with other Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of pay schemes.
- Demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Able to develop a high level of understanding of systems and processes quickly.
- Demonstrate a clear focus on excellent customer service.
- Experience of payroll/finance/HR in a school or other educational environment.
- CIPP qualification or working towards.
- Previous payroll experience is a distinct advantage.
- Previous HR administrative experience is also an advantage.
