Assistant Librarian – Stamford School

Join to apply for the Assistant Librarian role at Stamford School.

Overview

Stamford School’s three libraries — one at the Junior School and two at the Senior School — are vibrant, welcoming spaces at the heart of school life. Together, they house a combined collection of almost 30,000 books and regularly issue up to 1,000 loans each month. The libraries play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning, developing students’ research and information literacy skills and promoting a lifelong love of reading across all year groups.

From January 2026 the library team will consist of three members: the Head Librarian, a Junior School Librarian and this newly created Assistant Librarian role. The Assistant Librarian will manage the day‑to‑day running of St Paul’s Library, with some work at St Martin’s Library, and will play a key role in sustaining a high‑quality, student‑focused service.
