Role Description

The Ground Care Machinery Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Great Easton.

The engineer will carry out diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a range of ground care machinery and equipment, both in the workshop and, where required, at customer locations.

Daily tasks include inspecting machinery, identifying faults, ordering and fitting replacement parts, performing routine servicing, and testing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The role also involves keeping accurate service records, advising customers on proper use and care of equipment, and working closely with the sales and service teams to support smooth operations.

The engineer is expected to maintain a tidy and safe work environment and follow all relevant health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Machinery and Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic issues.
  • Hands-on experience in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for ground care or similar machinery.
  • Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand/power tools safely and effectively.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally for on-site service work.
